Endotherapy in trees.

This system dates back to the Renaissance, when Leonardo da Vinci carried out the first tests with arsenic in trees. The system has been developed in the USA and Italy until the present-day.

These countries has managed to displace aerial treatments, and have even made endotherapy compulsory in some cities and states.

Endotherapy is an alternative method phytosanitary treatment for trees as opposed to traditional aerial treatments. On the one hand, the absence of nebulization or spraying of chemical products in the atmosphere and, on the other hand, it is completely harmless for citizens’ health, and can be used at any time of the day, are all stressed. It also offers the advantage of being able to focus treatment, thus avoiding haphazard treatments.

This system consists in injecting into the trunk a nutritional or phytosanitary substance that is distributed throughout the plant’s vascular system.
